An Art Deco sterling silver bottle with a screw down removable lid covering a dropper top. This is an exceptional quality piece. A very thick gauge of silver has been used throughout, and thick screw threads hold both removable parts of the lids tightly. The piece can be used to hold anything that requires a delicate serving. Be it for a bar setting to hold the likes of flavoured or traditional bitters, or for cologne or essential oils. The piece was made in London, England in 1938. There are fabulously crisp and thick hallmarks all over this piece; on the 'nut' and bolt style lid, the stopper cover, the body, and the base. The piece was made by F. B. Thomas & Co., a London based retailer with a showroom on the prestigious shopping street of Bond Street. They operated a silversmiths in Oxford Market, and were established as far back as 1759. The firm operated as a family business, with multiple generations of the company running it until its final closure in 1941. A rare piece that will elevate any bar setting.
